Dieter Schwampe

Dieter Schwampe is a practicing German lawyer with more than 37 years of experience in the field of shipping law and marine insurance law. He is the President of the German Maritime Law Association and Vice-President of the Comite Maritime International (CMI). He is also member of the Legal & Liability Committee and the Salvage Forum of the International Union of Mariner Insurance. He is Professor of Law at Hamburg University, where he teaches Transport Law and Maine Insurance law. He has published a huge number of books and articles on shipping and marine insurance law and given more than 150 presentations on all continents.
