Isabelle Therrien

A graduate in Business Administration from University of Quebec in Montreal, Isabelle has more than 25 years’ experience in insurance.

She started her career as an Underwriting trainee at Chubb in 1997 in their Montreal office and worked in their Toronto and New York offices. In 2007, Isabelle joined Falvey Cargo Underwriting in New York City and moved back to Canada in 2012 where she now leads the company’s Canadian Operations. Isabelle was made Senior Vice President, Canada in 2020. She is currently the Chair of the International Union of Marine Insurance’s (IUMI) Cargo committee and was the President of the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters (CBMU) from 2016 until 2020.

Isabelle currently sits on the board of the Mission to Seafarers of Southern Ontario and the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters. She is also a member of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) Canada.
