Nick Coleman

Nick holds a BSc. in Chemistry & Law, an LLM and an MA in Marine Insurance & Risk Management. He started his career at Codan in Bergen, working with H&M and Loss of Hire claims before starting at shipowners Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi as Claims Manager. After another stint at Codan he joined Gard in 2015 where he handles marine claims on behalf of various Scandinavian clients, with a primary focus on container vessels. In 2021 he was elected chair of the IUMI Salvage Forum. He is also a member of the Lloyds Salvage Group and teaches risk management on CEFOR’s one-year part time marine insurance course. Outside of work he enjoys running, fitness, skiing, fishing and family life.
